Travel Note
For those new to NYC, we recommend using the map on your phone so you can toggle between driving, walking and subway directions. While the subway can get crowded during commuting hours (7-9:30am and 4-6:30pm), it is the fastest and easiest way to get around town, just be sure to grab a metrocard and be mindful of your surroundings! Uber, Lyft and Curb are all awesome apps to call a cab. Curb will call a yellow cab for you instead of having to hail one, you can also use Curb as your form of payment if you do hail a taxi. Reminder: a taxi is only available if the light on the top of the car is illuminated, otherwise it's off duty or unavailable. There's also a ferry system which is a great way to see the city from a different point of view! You can download the NYC Ferry app and buy tickets/find available routes.
