The ceremony will begin PROMPTLY at 4:30pm. Guests may arrive from 4pm. Cocktails are served immediately after the ceremony with dinner and dancing to follow! All festivities are on the same property.
Cocktail attire, coat & tie are requested for gentlemen. Ladies: - The ceremony will take place on a grassy area, other outdoor areas are paved and/or pebble. It is a rustic venue, so please choose your footwear accordingly! - You may wish to bring a jacket or a shawl as the ceremony and will take place outside (weather permitting) and it can be slightly chilly on November evenings in the mountains. There is also a beautiful wrap around porch which is where the cocktail hour will take place.
Yes! A shuttle will run from Big Canoe to The Lodge at Old Mill, and then return at the end of the evening. This will be the easiest and safest way to travel on the day of the wedding. If you wish to take the shuttle, you'll either need to stay at Big Canoe (recommended, anyway!) or get yourself to/from Big Canoe in time for the shuttle.
NO! You will need your own car to get around outside of the shuttle service to/from the venue for our ceremony & reception.
We love kids! However, for the relaxation and enjoyment of all guests, our wedding will be adults-only. We are happy to assist with finding child care for those traveling with children.
Yes parking will be available - including handicapped parking.
You bet it is! Handicapped parking is available and the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas are all accessible.
We are spending the week after our wedding relaxing in Highlands, North Carolina. We are planning a longer trip to France & London in the Spring!
