20 minute drive from Burlington, but worth it. Awesome exhibits, and would take a full day to see everything.
One of our favorite bars, we've been going here every Wednesday to do planning for the wedding. James and Mike are the best bartenders in the whole wide world. Get a Guinness and a wiskey/scotch/bourbon/etc. with the bartenders suggestion.
Private social club, similar to an elk's or moose lodge. Very bare bones (think wood-paneled walls and a drop ceiling) but the drinks are cheap. Open to non-members on friday nights, and it's on the water front, so you'll get an incredible sunset (weather permitting)!
A must-see. If you're staying in Downtown Burlington, you can walk to it. It's a historic pedestrian-only street with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Worth visiting just for the photo. Some of the places on this list are on/near Church street, so you can't miss it!
This place holds a special place in our hearts, as we used to live in an apartment right next door. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can feel the community warmth at Stone Soup. Our favorites are the self-serve hot lunch, and the pastries.
If you go online, this place is often rated one of the best restaurants. They don't take reservations, you should arrive 15-20 mins before opening and wait in line. It's a small place, with small plates (read: expensive).
This place has probably our favorite beers, and has really good/creative food for a brewery (not just pub food). We love the beer so much it will be served at the wedding. Great outdoor seating, 5 minute drive from downtown.
Great bakery, get there early, the line is always very long. Get a griddled maple biscuit with butter.
For the steakhouse fans. They also have an excellent pickle-brine martini.
Fine-dining, does a really great job of bringing the Vermont vibes. We think they still do an oyster happy hour from 4-5 PM (don't quote us on this) and which you should pair with a Bloody Mary. If you don't make a reservation, you might get lucky with a bar seat.
Swanky bar, creative drinks, faces city hall park. Also has a hidden "spritz deck" in the back.
Another swanky bar with fancy drinks, also has live-jazz some nights!
Local watering hole, dive-adjacent, but definetely not a dive bar. Think mismatching couches and cement floors. Starts getting busy at 9PM
For being the only dim-sum place in town, this place is quite good. The restaurant has zero-personality (think florescent lights) but good food!
Best breakfast sammich in town. Sorry Taylor I'm right and you're wrong.
The type of place that can only really exist in Burlington. Home to 40+ makers, producers, artists, plus a cafe, a restaurant, and a bar.
For those who want to golf. Also check out the "Kwini Club" chipping area
If you want to do a lil' hike.
50 minute drive, but worth the view. Owned and operated by the von Trapp family (yes, the ones from the Sound of Music). Lots of outdoor activities to do, but plan ahead!
