Justin and Andrea met in Bakersfield when a mutual friend (Monavie) partnered them in her 18th birthday debut as dance partners. Time passed and they remained good friends, but reconnected at San Francisco State University where they both went to college! Andrea was at first unhappy with her experience and almost transferred to another school. However, Justin being one of her only friends, convinced her to stay by getting her to join their Filipino organization on campus. It was there that they learned about their identities, communities, and their peoples' history. They also learned that maybe they should be more than friends.
