Waimea Canyon State Park
Waimea has various trails that you can hike to enjoy the lushish and tropical terrain. They also have stunning lookouts, where you can appreciate the vibrant colors within the red canyon and waterfall.
The Shops at Kukui‘ula
If you want to get some shopping in, the Shops at Kukui‘ula, an open-air mall, is the place to go. They also have great restaurants. Every Wednesday from 3:30-6 they have a farmer's market full of local food and items.
Merriman's Kauai

Kauaʻi Coffee Company
Visiting Kauai Coffee Farm only takes an hour and is a great rainy day activity on Kauai. The farm has a self-guided walking tour where you can learn about the process of growing, roasting, and brewing coffee. After you’re done, grab a free sample or purchase a bag of beans to take home.
Hanapepe Swinging Bridge
Hanapēpē, known as "Kauai's Biggest Little Town," is a charming, historic town on Kauai’s southern shore, renowned as the island's art capital. It features19th-century plantation-style buildings, the famous swinging bridge, and is the inspiration for Disney's Lilo & Stitch.
Kilohana Plantation
Originally a 1930s sugar plantation manor, it has been restored into a landmark destination featuring a scenic railway, a renowned restaurant, and a popular luau.
Kōloa Rum Company Store & Tasting Room

Wailua River
The Wailua River is Kauai’s largest navigable river, a 20-mile scenic waterway flowing from Mt. Waiʻaleʻale to the East Side, often explored via kayak or boat tours to inland, lush rainforests. Key attractions include the 120-foot "Secret Falls" (Uluwehi Falls), the verdant Fern Grotto, and historical Hawaiian temples (heiau) along its banks. Kilauea Lighthouse
A historic maritime landmark situated on the northernmost tip of Kauaʻi, Hawaii. Built in 1913, the 52-foot white concrete tower sits on a dramatic 180-foot ocean bluff within the Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED - Open Wednesday-Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Hanalei Bay Lookout
The Hanalei Valley Lookout is situated along the Kuhio Highway (Route 56) near Princeville. It's easily accessible by car, making it a must-visit stop for anyone exploring the North Shore of Kauai. Popular lookout point offering sweeping, panoramic views of the surrounding valley & lush hillside.
Kalalau Trailhead
Hike the Kalalau Trail to experience the stunning Napli Coast to experience it from a different vantage point. Please be aware that you do need a permit; see the website below to reserve a permit. The trail is categorized as difficult; you do not have to complete the entire trail though.
