Our Big Day & Your Seaside Getaway

Ok, let’s be honest — it’s us, so the story really starts with wine! 🍷 Justin happened to be in Cupertino for work, and Michele was in town for the Winter Classic with Nikki. As fate would have it, we were staying at the same hotel and (shocker!) met at the bar. What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into an instant connection, bonding over soccer and our shared love for Seattle. We went our separate ways that night… but Justin realized he had made one major mistake — he never asked for Michele’s number. So he pulled out a classic hotel trick, called the front desk, and somehow convinced them to transfer the call to her room. The very smooth follow-up? “Do you want to watch Castle?” (IYKYK😉). After a few weeks of talking, Justin asked Michele if she wanted to come visit him in San Francisco, and in the wise words of Kara: “You are going to get on that flight!” And just like that, our long-distance adventure began. Over the next year, we took 67 flights, 10 car and motorcycle trips, and traveled a total of 61,843 miles just to see each other (yes — we really do have the map to prove it!). ✈️ After that whirlwind year, Michele made the move to San Francisco. About 18 months later, along with Jackson, we headed to Seattle, and eventually found our way to Suquamish — where we bought our first home and fully embraced Peninsula life with Duke and Isla. 🏡💛🐾 Looking back, what started as a chance meeting over a glass of wine turned into the adventure of a lifetime — and we’re still just getting started! ✨

Our very first adventure together took us to Hawaii, when Justin flew out to meet Michele while she was there on a work trip (starting to notice the trend? 😊). From that moment on, the islands became our happy place. We’ve returned almost every year since, and each trip has made us fall even more in love—with Hawaii and with each other. 🌴✨ It’s also where one of our most special memories happened… Justin proposed there! 💍 Over the past 10 years, we’ve explored nearly every island, but Kauai has truly captured our hearts. We are beyond excited to celebrate there and share the place that means so much to us with all of you. We can’t wait! 🌺💛✈️
