Question

What is the anticipated weather?

Answer

Colorado fall usually does not disappoint! Typical weather in Gold Hill will have highs in the 60s/70s and lows in the 40s. Please note Gold Hill sits at 8,300 ft so it will be chillier than Boulder. Boulder will be slightly warmer with September highs typically in the 70s and lows in the 40s/50s. Note the temperature does tend to drop significantly when the sun sets due to our limited moisture.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in the adjacent Beer Garden at The Gold Hill Inn. It will take place on grass so please consider when choosing your footwear. Cocktail hour will follow outdoors and we will then move inside for dinner and dancing! We will relocate inside for the ceremony if weather does not cooperate. The welcome party is located at The Jasmine Bar in Louisville which has a large outdoor courtyard space. Please anticipate meandering indoors and out if weather permits!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding attire is cocktail. The Gold Hill Inn is in a small, old mountain mining community and is quite rustic. Feel free to add a flair of mountain charm or embrace a more boho style to match the venue! The ceremony will take place outside and it could be chilly so packing a jacket or shawl is a good thing to consider. The welcome party suggested attire is dressy casual.

Question

Is there transportation for the wedding?

Answer

There will be shuttle services to and from the wedding ceremony departing The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel at 3:45pm on 9/26/2026 with return times at 8:30pm and at the conclusion of the event at 10pm. There will not be any shuttle service for the welcome party. The Jasmine Bar is located 10 minutes from The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this area. There is also ample street parking and free public parking in downtown Louisville.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only the people addressed in the invitation are invited to the welcome party and wedding.

Question

Are photos allowed during the wedding and reception?

Answer

We are asking to keep our ceremony phone free and our wonderful photographer will help us capture the magic! Once the ceremony concludes feel free to snap all the photos you desire with your friends and family.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Dinner will be buffet style with gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options! Let us know your dietary needs on the RSVP.

Question

Can I use Uber/Lyft?

Answer

In the Boulder and surrounding areas there is ample access to ride share services. Feel free to utilize this for getting to and from the welcome party and for exploring town. Uber to/from the airport is also an option if you wish to not rent a car but may be expensive. There is a public transportation option with the Flatiron Flyer to get into Boulder from the airport. Uber and Lyft will NOT service The Gold Hill Inn. Please refer to the travel page for more information on shuttles that will be provided for the wedding ceremony. The drive to Gold Hill is approximately 45 minutes and is quite beautiful. If you choose to drive, there will be parking available in a small gravel lot or on the street.

Question

Will we be competing with football traffic?

Answer

The Buffs did us a solid and will be on the road the weekend of September 26th! This will make traffic more manageable and hotels easier to secure. That being said, fall is still a very popular travel time to the Boulder area and we recommend booking your accommodations well in advance.

Question

I'm coming from sea level, anything I need to know?

Answer

We famously live a mile above sea level and The Gold Hill Inn sits at 8,300 ft. If you're not used to the altitude, don't fret, just keep the following in mind: -Be sure to stay plenty hydrated, more than you think you need -Don't be surprised when the alcohol seems more effective! Be aware of this when you're drinking. Alternate your drinks with water and find a designated driver or Uber! -Be very careful when hiking, pack ample sun protection and water. Always hike with a buddy on unfamiliar trails. If you start feeling short of breath, develop a headache, nausea or vomiting TURN AROUND AND DESCEND IMMEDIATELY. If you don't immediately improve upon descent seek medical attention. -We are blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year, and that sun is a mile closer to your face! Pack the sunscreen and a hat, you will need it.
