It all started with a chance meeting at the bar - and then again on the floor of Phish at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. John couldn’t resist Alli wearing her peace sign onesie. They were instantly attracted to each other and wanted to learn more, especially after realizing how much they both love plants, science, and the environment.

On a road trip up the West Coast to attend a friend’s wedding, John had our friends stop at an almost 300 foot waterfall in Oregon called Salt Creek Falls. While wandering around and observing the majestic falls, John got down on one knee and asked Allison to marry him! Alli was surprised and happily said ‘Yes!’
