Our story begins on a chilly winter day in February, 2022. We first crossed paths on a dating app, where we bonded over our mutual disdain for pizza crust. Little did we know that this seemingly small connection would lead to something so beautiful. Our first date was nothing short of magical. We met in lower Manhattan and spent hours at Ulysses on Stone Street, sipping Guinness and sharing pieces of our lives. It seemed like we had known each other forever. There was a comfort and ease in our connection that we had never before experienced. Margaret remembers the moment TJ leaned in for our first kiss - it felt like the world stood still. From that moment on, we knew this was something special. One of Margaret’s early memories with TJ was when her sweet fur baby, Rosie, injured her paw just days before Margaret was set to run the LA Marathon. This tragic incident of the escalator step on Rosie’s poor toe beans had it’s silver lining, as it shined a light on the kind of partner TJ is. Despite only dating for six weeks, TJ stepped up to care for Rosie so Margaret could focus on her race. While she flew across the country to secure another medal and then galivant around Napa, TJ cared for the thing most precious to her, sending kind updates of them cuddling together and comical videos of Rosie’s obsession with B-A-L-L. It was then, despite being so early on, that Margaret knew TJ was not only kind and generous, but also incredibly loving and dependable - all things she admired and hoped for in the man she would one day end up with. On TJ's end, one of his cherished memories is when his family visited him in NYC, coincidentally over Margaret’s birthday. Was it too early for her to meet them? Even if it was, he was determined to make it happen. And, like he knew would be the case, Margaret was a big hit with the Polzin Clan. She instantly won them over by the way she teased and loved TJ and also being her passionate, beautiful self. His family only had one bit of feedback to TJ: Don't mess it up. Our journey even in just our first few years together has been filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures. We love cooking together, exploring new places, searching for the best martinis and always making each other laugh. Together we’ve already started building our home, a space that is constantly filled with new memories and lots of pet hair (despite TJ’s valiant attempt to run the Roomba everyday and Margaret’s nagging allergies). On April 26, 2023, Margaret and TJ were on a picturesque cliff walk in Howth, Ireland. It was on that afternoon that TJ got down on one knee and asked Margaret to be his forever. It was a moment both of us will never forget - surrounded by the beauty of nature and the overwhelming feeling of love in the air. As we look towards our future together, our hopes and dreams are simple: travel the world, create a warm and loving home, cherish our friends and family, and grow old together in love.
