NewBo City Market

If you are looking for a fun local shopping experience this is the place to start. The neighborhood is very cute as well!

Amana Colonies

Cute German town with lots of cute shopping, markets, wineries and crafts. About 15-20 minutes outside of Cedar Rapids.

Kalona

An Amish community with a cheese shop, greenhouse, bulk spices, a discount store and a fantastic bakery! You have to try a Kalona bar. Their downtown is also very unique and fun. Since it is an Amish community, they are closed on Sundays. This is located about an hour south of Cedar Rapids.

Pella

If you are here for longer than a couple of days Pella is a great day trip! It's about an hour and a half from Cedar Rapids. Tulip time is a couple weeks after our wedding but Pella is a quaint Dutch town with lots of bakeries and sites to see!

National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library

Nice museum in the Czech Village area

Twin Pines Golf Course

A great place for mini golf. Closest 18 hole course. Very short, not much challenge, 2 water hazards and no sand trap, the greens are ROUGH. would recommend for beginners but if your on the advanced side, go ahead and skip this one.

Cedar Rapids Roughriders Hockey Club

This is where we have season tickets! Many date nights and lots of hours have been spent here! If you love gritty, physical ice hockey this is the place to be!

Spare Time Cedar Rapids

It's our version of Dave and Buster's! Austin and I have date nights here often. Their drinks are good and strong! :)

Marcus Cedar Rapids Cinema

Nicest movie theater in town with reclining seats and a restaurant and bar.

Pickle Palace

Pickleball and a restaurant near our wedding venue! Even if you don't enjoy sports you are guaranteed to enjoy the food and the relaxed atmosphere!

Czech Town Station

Great place to grab brunch or a local beer. It's one of our favorite places and where we first said that we loved each other, exchanging keys to each other's places for the first time.

Mandarin Spice Asian Grill

Our favorite place for sushi or Asian cuisine!

Cliff's Dive Bar & Grill

A favorite for unique combinations of foods. It's a bar close to our preferred hotel and the location of the wedding.

One of our favorite places in the corridor to eat. The town of Marion is super hip as well. Beware their drinks are strong but fantastic! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu but their burger is AMAZING! Dine inside of wine barrels and a soft pretzel the size of your head. This is where we had our 1 year anniversary dinner!

Big Grove Brewery & Taproom

A brewery and restaurant near our wedding venue. It's a local favorite for a reason! If the weather allows, do not hesitate to enjoy their patio.

PinSeekers Tiffin

Our version of TopGolf. It's about 20 minutes from Cedar Rapids but right on the interstate

A good place for a good open air bar right on the Cedar River in Czech Village

Tornado's Grub & Pub

Best burgers in town! Bar none! Also, in the Czech Village area.

30hop

Large beer selection with mostly local beer. They also have a nice rooftop! Barn Town Brewing is always a hit. Lion Bridge Brewing "Crush berry" is something everyone should try once. A beer that pays homage to the Crunch berry cereal made here in CR! Clock house Brewing "Witch slap" is Austin's favorite IPA. Toppling Goliath, Cedar Ridge distillery, Fireside winery, etc. Iowa is second only to Milwaukee when it comes to brewing!

Austins favorite course! BEAUTIFUL scenery, and every hole is like its own private course. Even on a crowded day it's rare to see another golfer. fairways are narrow and elevation changes drastically based on shot placement. Don't be a hero... this place is like a roller coaster take the cart.
