Officiant
Jessica was one of the first people Miranda met when they both attended Midland, a weird, hippy boarding school in the woods, where they had to chop wood to build fires to heat their showers. Fast friends, they were often lovingly (or so they told themselves) referred to as Miressica, because they were so wonderfully alike. Shortly after Miranda moved to New York, Jessica came to visit and Miranda somehow managed to convince her to move to the city post graduation where they lived together for 3 marvelous years, and can still be found parading around causing chaos. She and her husband Paul have become rocks for the couple and they couldn't be more grateful to have someone so dear to them both Marry them.
Best Woman
Danny knows Kenzie, and her twin Kylie, from a bizarre period of their collective lives known as "homeschooling." He spent many summer weekends at their condo (conveniently located directly on the beach), where evenings were generally spent being told to stay away from sea turtle nests or playing dance-along video games. He hopes someday she'll forgive him for asking her to be his woman of honor.
Maid of Honor
Another Midland Survivor, Meghan has been Miranda's home away from home for almost half their lives. A soul sister, a twin flame, and just one of the best damn people Miranda's ever had the privilege of knowing. Although they have a country separating them, Meghan graciously agreed to be Miranda's MOH, and much like Danny to Kenzie, hopes that she will one day forgive her.
Groomswoman
Sarah and Danny met while they worked on the Disney College Program, he at Backlot Express, and she as an outdoor vendor which shared Backlot's facilities. Although now separated by distance, that hasn't kept them from reminiscing about all the ways they were mistreated by the mouse.
Bro of Honor
Miranda and Matt first met when he came to visit his alma mater, Drew University, while Miranda was a freshman and they were both... acapella people. But it wouldn't be until Miranda moved to NYC in 2013 that their friendship truly began, and Matt became so much more than a friend, but a brother. After years of shenanigans, too many tallboys to count, and more cartoons than two adults should admit to, she is thrilled to have him stand by her side as Bro of Honor.
Groomsman
Danny and Brandon met on the Disney College Program when Danny walked into Brandon's apartment one morning declaring that this was now his apartment as well (thank you Disney Housing random assignment). Favorite pastimes included: being scolded by security for singing too loudly in the apartment, being perfectly behaved in Disney theme parks, and conducting entirely too much research into corporate design.
Bridesmaid
The Sunflower to Miranda's Starfish. Sarah and Miranda both met their freshman year at The New School for Drama and once these two got their claws into each other they never let go. From friends, to roommates, to sisters, Sarah helped Miranda find the woman she is today. After spending pretty much every moment of their twenties together, Miranda is honored to have her sunflower standing with her as she starts this next chapter.
Groomswoman
Like her twin, Kylie knows Danny from their days as blond, sun drenched homeschoolers. These days however, they know each other through their phone screens. Kylie helped organize Danny's surprise 21st birthday party - which was exactly as raunchy as you would expect a homeschooler's 21st birthday to be (his mother was the other organizer).
Bridesmaid
Miranda met Chelsea through their parents, when she was a loser boarding school kid, and Chelsea was a cool college student living in The Bay Area. Before Miranda turned into a moderately whole human, she would follow Chelsea around given any opportunity, but it wasn't until Miranda moved back to the valley in 2012 that this friendship truly turned rabid (incurable) while they were both working in "The Wine Ghetto". From too many nights spent on a couch, watching The Bachelor, drinking wine Miranda couldn't afford, to some 15 years later watching her have her own rose ceremony.
Mother of the Groom
Danny's parents met in Nassau, The Bahamas. That's where Danny and his sister were born and raised for their early years. And that's where the homeschooling journey started. After a hurricane took the roof off their house, they moved to South Florida where the rest of Danny's childhood was spent. Danny's mother is now a snowbird, splitting her time between the Treasure Cost of Florida and Vermont (where she is thrilled that Danny and Miranda are close enough to be the most frequent visitors!).
Bridesman
Miranda also met Stephen during their stint in the wine ghetto, when he was the assistant wine maker at Fiddlehead Cellars where Miranda started in the tasting room, before somehow being convinced to transition into a "Cellar Rat". It was there Stephen and Miranda slowly lost their minds in that cold cellar, driving forklifts, and listening to Company on repeat. Once he and Chelsea started dating, they adopted Miranda together (or rather she adopted them) and all these years later they're still "Mom & Dad" much to their chagrin, but as Dr. Steve Bruhl would say, it's for your health.
Father of the Groom
Barry is a British Chartered Accountant and it was his choice in 1981 to move from England to Nassau that led to Danny’s Bahamian Heritage. When Danny was an intern at Disneyworld and had to have a name tag with where he was from on it, he insisted it said “Nassau, Bahamas”. Barry grew up with boats and imparted his love for the sea to Danny; other traits that Barry sees in Danny is they are both “Mr Fix its” and Father and Son share a sense of Humor. Barry continues to live in Nassau, working and playing hard.
