Just passed the Eisenhower Tunnel, this little town is nestled in clear creek canyon about 30 miles form Denver. Idaho Springs is a town with Gold Mining History and now serves as a quaint tourist destination with lots of restaurants, activities and shops. We love the The Spice & Tea Exchange, and The Soap Shop.
Pearl Street in Boulder is filled with lots of cool stores, restaurants, and activities! You'll get an amazing view of the foothills, see street performers and take some gifts home. Our favorite places to eat at are Luciles, Organic Sandwich Co, and Avanti. Don't forget to stop by Gelato Boy!
Chautauqua Park in Boulder is super popular and amazing for any level hiker. There are lots of different hikes ranging from easy to hard or you don’t even have to hike to see the Flat Iorn’s Foothills. After hiking you can visit Pearl Street in Boulder for food and shopping.
Gardens of The Gods is another good spot to take a stroll, hike or bike ride. This park is just over an hour away from Denver.
Rocky Mountain National Park is a must-see when visiting Colorado. To enter the park, you must make a reservation for a timed-entry slot (Visit the website for more details). The most popular hike there is the Emerald lake trail at 3.2 miles round trip with 702 ft of elevation gain.
