Dressy casual feels just right—polished, comfortable, and celebration-ready! Think dresses, jumpsuits, or separates with a little flair; dress shirts and slacks for the guys (no tie required, unless you're feeling fancy). We kindly ask that guests skip jeans, shorts, and flip flops. Just wear something you feel great in, and you'll fit right in.
Kind of—it depends! We were both lucky enough to grow up going to weddings and still talk about how magical (and sugar-filled) those nights were. We’re keeping things on the smaller side and only inviting kiddos we know personally. If your kiddo’s name pops up when you RSVP on our website, they’re in! Otherwise, this celebration will be adults-only—think of it as a little excuse to dress up, relax, and enjoy a cocktail or two in peace.
Guests are welcome to arrive starting at 4:00 PM. The ceremony begins at 4:20 PM (yes, on purpose). From there, we’ll move right into cocktails, dinner, and dancing—come ready to eat, drink, and have a great time.
We’ve reserved blocks at a few great hotels nearby, from modern and funky to classic and comfy. Head over to the Travel page for the full rundown (and booking links, because we’re helpful like that).
Yes! The Cotton Room has free parking in the Golden Belt Campus lot. It’s a short walk to the entrance, and yes, you can absolutely wear comfy shoes and change later. We support sensible choices.
Yes please! You can RSVP right on our website by August 13, 2025. It helps us with headcounts, seating, and making sure there’s enough cake (a true priority).
We are! You’ll find all the details on our Registry page—but most of all, we’re just excited to celebrate with you.
Definitely. We’ll have plenty of tasty food and a full open bar, including signature cocktails to sip while you celebrate.
We’d love for you to be fully present during the ceremony, so we’re asking guests to put phones and cameras away until it’s time to celebrate. After that? Snap away! Tag us, text us, show us your best angles.
Everything will be indoors—The Cotton Room is a gorgeous industrial-chic space with giant windows, exposed brick, and no surprise weather events.
RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport) is your best bet. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the venue and the hotels we’ve recommended.
Not officially—but after the reception ends at 10:00 PM, we’ll be heading to the bar at Aloft Durham Downtown to wind down with a drink and some extra time with friends and family. The bar’s open until midnight, and drinks will be pay-your-own. No pressure, just good company if you feel like keeping the night going a little longer.
