We love kids - we really do! However, children are not welcomed to the festivities. This is your weekend off!
Charleston is a foodie city! Michael and I made it a point to try out new spots with every visit. Here are some of our recommendations. 167 Raw- cozy, seafood eatery. hard to get a spot if you don't go right when they open, but by far one of the best restaurants to try while visiting Charleston. Favorite item: lobster roll & fish tacos! FIG- a great date night spot for dinner with great cocktails. Favorite item: Ricotta Gnocchi alla Bolognese The Ordinary- classic upscale seafood, perfect for valentines day dinner and located a very short walk from the welcome party. Favorite item: seafood tower and raw bar The Darling Oyster- best to sit at the bar and enjoy happy hour. Close to the welcome party. Favorite item: Clam chowder over seasonal fries
For the Welcome Party, please come dressed in your best cocktail attire. Men are encouraged to wear suits with or without tie and woman can wear short or long dresses!
For our wedding, we invited our male guests to wear a tux for the evening or a suit with a tie or bow-tie. Please no khakis. For women, we encourage formal long dresses since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside in February. A cocktail dress is appropriate as well. Please no sundresses. Thanks!
We would recommend taking a 10-15 min Uber to the wedding ceremony. Parking is available in certain locations of the park, however leaving cars overnight is only permitted in a specific lot. More information to follow.
Please keep in mind our ceremony and cocktail hour will be out on the lawns. Thicker heel might be preferable. The reception is held on a patio under a tent and inside the mansion on the property.
During the wedding reception, there will be a coat check locating inside the house on the main floor.
