We actually have been trying to figure out the very first time we met — we are 90% sure it was at our friend Adam’s birthday at Korean BBQ joint Iron Age about 6 years ago. We have known each other for quite a while, but it seemed like the timing was never quite right — either Jenny had a boyfriend or Michael had a girlfriend, but we always had a spark between the two of us (let’s face it the spark was mainly Michael’s)! Finally, in November of 2017, a blaze started from that one tiny spark. Our first date was seeing Jenny’s sister’s fiance’s (Hi Harris!) band, Machinekid, followed by a spectacular housewarming party at the home of also-engaged Alex Graff and Sarah Holding. Our relationship blossomed quickly and we fell deeply in love. We didn’t waste any time and bought a house together in June 2018. There was an inkling marriage might be coming soon thereafter...

Since everyone probably expected Michael would propose at a Phish show, he figured he would have to do something Jenny wouldn’t expect. Michael had surprised Jenny with tickets to J.T. (Justin Timberlake) for her birthday in October, so it seemed like it might present the perfect opportunity. I mean, who doesn’t love J.T.? During the concert, Michael snuck off and right before the song “My Love” started up, came back to the seats and popped the big question! We are very excited for our marriage and to continue building our life together. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of our family and friends!
