Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
I (Lauren) worked at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for four summers around the time Kyle and I met. If you have questions about what to see or do in the park, please ask! You can also stop by the Visitor Center in Empire for maps and information. Please note that you will need to purchase a park pass in order to visit the park.
Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive
Scenic 7.5 mile drive with overlooks of dunes and lakes.
Sleeping Bear Point Trailhead
One of Lauren's favorite hikes in the area! Hike through the dunes to Lake Michigan.
Empire Bluff Trail
Short 1.5 mile walk (round trip) to a beautiful Lake Michigan overlook.
Gwen Frostic Prints
Nature prints in a unique shop.
Elberta Beach
Picturesque beach less than 5 minutes from the Elberta Life Saving Station.
Tandem Ciders
Best. Cider. Ever. Plus they have outdoor seating, bonfires, and delicious pickled eggs.
L'Chayim Delicatessen
Yummy bagels and sandwiches. There is also a location in Frankfort.
