If you'd like to go deep sea fishing, there's no better guide than Jacob! Send home a cooler full of halibut and rock fish! Text Jacob (907-422-7082) and we can either get a group together and charter our own boat or Jacob can make recommendations for the best companies to go with.
Truly Alaskan atmosphere! Casual dining. We will be meeting up here on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7 p.m. if you're in town :-).
One of our favorite places to go for special dinners and yummy brunches!
Reasonably priced thai food...that is delicious!
A church converted into a cozy coffee house.
A sure way to spot bear, moose, elk, reindeer and other Alaskan wildlife! If you are driving from Anchorage, it will be 40 miles down the Seward Hwy (the only way to get to Seward...can't miss it :-), on the right.
A cool experience to be pulled by sled dogs and learn about the races they do in the winter.
Soar through the forest for some adrenaline rushes!
An easy 1 mile hike to a pretty cool local glacier!
An aquarium with opportunities to see (and touch) local sea life.
We used this company to do our engagement pictures - and it was magical!
Jacob, my niece and I went horseback riding here and had so much fun! Located about an hour away in a cute little town called Cooper Landing, the horse back riding offers a great way to see some of the most breathtaking scenery of the Kenai Peninsula. There's also many trails to hike around here. Be sure to stop by Sackett's for some of the best smoked brisket nachos ever!
Go white water rafting or take a nice float down a scenic river! This fun activity is located a little over an hour away from Seward. My mom, nieces and I have down the scenic float - and it was a blast. The white water rafting is supposed to be some of the most exhilarating rapids in the world!
Denali National Park is an amazing place to view breathtaking scenery and wildlife! It will be closing after September 20th, so consider coming early to go visit beautiful national park before coming to Seward for wedding festivities. Where you would go to visit in the park (take a bus tour), is about 4.5 hours from Anchorage and 6.5 hours from Seward. Near the park is also highly recommended white water rafting (for all ages) and zip-line tour.
