Washington Park
If you’re looking to enjoy some nature without leaving the city, Washington Park is a great spot. You can rent paddle boats, walk or bike the scenic loop, hang out by the lake, or just relax with a picnic.
Evergreen Lake
If you wanted to get out to the mountains some, this lake is only ~30-40 minutes from the city. You can rent paddle boards, walk around the lake, go on nearby hikes, or walk around the town!
Boulder / Golden
If you’re up for a quick day trip, both Boulder and Golden are great options just 25–30 minutes from the city. In Boulder, you can hike the Flatirons, stroll Pearl Street, or grab a bite at the farmers’ market. Golden offers small-town charm with a walkable downtown, creekside trails, and local breweries to explore.
Gates Tennis Center
If you’re into pickleball, Gates Tennis Center is a great spot with 15 outdoor courts, open play, and easy reservations. It’s fun, affordable, and just a short drive from the city.

Denver Art Museum
The Denver Art Museum is right downtown and packed with amazing art in a cool, modern space. It’s a great spot to wander for a couple hours—and there’s even a café if you want to grab a bite after.
