Once upon a Sunday-Funday, my friend Brandy and I made the wine-fueled decision to sign up for a dating site for some laughs and entertainment. Little did we know, fate was awaiting on Bumble! PJ and I connected immediately, and, after a few days of messaging, we went on our first date. We can both recall exactly how we felt in that first moment meeting each other, and we left that first date knowing we'd love to see each other again. That weekend was Labor Day weekend, and we spent every day together getting to know one another. We both fondly recall sitting on my back patio, watching storms roll in, sharing our past, our goals and our dreams. We began falling in love that weekend, and the rest is, well, history!

PJ and I planned a week-long vacation to a luxury resort in Cabo called Le Blanc. (Side note, if Cabo is on your list, we HIGHLY recommend Le Blanc! It was incredible!) This trip was planned, in part, to celebrate PJ's 30th birthday...or so I thought. PJ’s birthday was Monday, August 5th, and we spent the day poolside with a super fun couple we met at the resort. The staff at Le Blanc brought PJ special drinks + treats and even decorated our room with balloons to celebrate his day. While getting ready for (what I thought) was PJ's birthday dinner, PJ insisted we stop at one of the hotel bars first for a glass of champagne. Twist my arm! While we toasted to his 30th, a resort photographer approached us and asked if he could snap a few photos. I soon realized there was much more to this champagne request! My incredibly thoughtful fiancé arranged for a photo shoot with the resort’s photographers, and, as golden hour set in, we captured the most beautiful moments. The photo shoot was perfectly choreographed to culminate at a romantic candle-lit beach dinner. PJ planned an intentional menu with all of our favorites, and, as the sun set, dessert, photographers, and the moment arrived. PJ handed me a hand-written love letter, and, as I looked up through tears, he got down on one knee. I scream/sobbed “Yes!” as he put the most beautiful ring on my finger. It was all a dream.
