Maid of Honor
Few people are so lucky that they have a best friend for 20 years. Andy and Norah's friendship is even more remarkable since they have only lived in the same state for the last four! They first met on the message board of a band in middle school. Since then they have shared their lives and interests online and on trips to see each other. When Norah moved to the Bay Area the two welcomed Xander to their nights playing "Rock Band" and "so bad it's good" cinema.
Best Man
Together, Xander and this debonair giant make the duo known only to themselves as "Rough and Tumble." Since meeting as roommates at Kenyon College, they are incapable of having a conversation together without causing the other to double over in laughter. Like all great friendships, even though they don't get to see each other often these days, when they do it is like no time has passed at all.
Groomsman
When Andy and Daniel worked together, Daniel was always there with a creative solution to a problem, a positive thought, or just a hilarious joke. Since then, they have continued to share interested in good home-cooked food, lectures, music, and movies.
Groomswoman
The first day Xander arrived at Kenyon college, Rose Talbert knocked on his door at random to make a new friend, and it was a match made in heaven. After countless adventures, discussions of Harry Potter, and several bad action films, Rose remains one of the greatest joys in Xander's life.

If you ever need a custom made craft, or just a clever bon mot, Corinne has it covered. When Andy and Corinne worked together, she always knew how to navigate the nonsense and stay grounded. Her seemingly effortless ability to throw a great party is something we both aspire to achieve one day.
Groomsman
Xander's closest confidant in high school, Mark was always there to cheer up a closeted teen on the verge of losing it. From running into doors in restaurants on purpose, or sharing a string of nonsensical hilarity, Xander doesn't know how he would have made it out of his teenage years without this prince by his side.
Groomsman
When Andy first moved to San Francisco, Matthew was his guide to this city. Through the ups and downs of living in a new place, Matthew could always provide a listening ear, a bit of advice, or even just a cute drawing of a cat. As a co-DJ of the 90s night where Xander and Andy met, Matthew is a big part of why we're celebrating this wedding to begin with!

When Kate and Xander first met in San Francisco, they bonded over the heartbreaking music of the Magnetic Fields. So inseparable, they wound up both moving to Chicago for Grad School at the same time. These days Kate is making it as a comedian in New York, and Xander is so excited she will be returning to the Bay Area to be by his side when he says "I do."
Flower Girl
Xander and Andy have only just met their niece Aurelia. Still this funny blonde goblin is a big fan of her Chewbaca and R2D2 plush toys, so we assume the three of us are going to be the best of friends.
Assistant to the Flower Girl
Xander's twin brother, and Aurelia's incredible father. When Andy was first introduced to the Pipers he and Brendan got into a discussion of electronics, prompting their sister to say "Xander met someone who speaks Brendan!" Andy has become fast friends with his future brother-in-law and we all look forward to our "Piper Fests" of Piper siblings and their better halves.
Officiant
One of Andy and Xander's newest friends, they have quickly come to value his wisdom, humor, and story telling ability. After describing his own personal history as a wedding officiant to Xander at Musical Mondays at a bar in the Castro Andy and Xander decided instantly he would be the best officiant for them. They went to his house, opened some bubbly, each of them got down on their knees and asked: "Zack . . . will you marry us?" He said yes!
Groom's Mother
KK could not be more excited to become Andy Scudder's mother in law. Since the moment she met him she knew that he was something special. Xander, KK, and Andy love attending art museums and great films together. She has been wonderfully supportive of this marriage and has contributed generously to the day's festivities and for that the grooms thank her from the bottom of our hearts.
