Things To Do

Andy and Xander met on the 4th of July, and since their favorite thing to do is to learn more about our world with each other, on the anniversary of our meeting we try and learn something new together. Here are our favorites plus a few other recommendations.

1st Anniversary - Palace Games

3362 Palace Drive, San Francisco, CA 94123
, (415) 997-8522

This used to be the Old Exploritorium where we went on our first anniversary, but now it is home to the best Escape Room games in the city, all themed around San Francisco's Pan Pacific world's fair.

3rd Anniversary - California Academy of Sciences

55 Music Concourse Drive, San Francisco, CA 94118
, (415) 379-8000

Our favorite museum in the city!

4th Anniversary - Exploratorium

The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94111
, (415) 528-4444

Our second favorite museum! Great for kids and geeky adults!

5th Anniversary - Cable Car Museum

1201 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA 94108
, (415) 474-1887

A small little museum but with some great SF history. When you're done stroll down to Chinatown to get some dim sum!

Musée Mécanique

45 Sausalito - San Francisco Pier 41, San Francisco, CA 94133
, (415) 346-2000

A quirky museum of old amusements from the dawn of the mechanical age. Weird but great!

The Ferry Building Farmer's Market

One San Francisco Bay Trail, San Francisco, CA 94111

One of the best meals you can have in SF is shopping the stalls at the Ferry building farmer's market. Definitely try the empanada store inside the main building!

Tadich Grill

240 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94111
, (415) 391-1849

An old school downtown classic. For a very traditional dining experience. Where Xander met Jim and Amy Scudder for the first time!

Chow Food Bar

215 Church Street, San Francisco, CA 94114
, (415) 552-2469

One of Andy and Xander's favorite restaurants. Where we celebrated our engagement!

Night Viewing of the Bay Lights

Night Viewing of the Bay Lights

Pier 14, San Francisco, CA 94105

KK knew she was going to love her new son in law when he knew off the top of his head Leo Villareal's name (the artist who made these incredible lights). After dinner one night, go see it downtown, try around Pier 14 for the best views.

For all the days along the way
