William and Alli first met in their senior year of undergrad at James Madison University. They were both in Dr. Tom Martin's class and ended up sitting near each other thanks to a mutual friend, Drew. Alli told Drew that she thought William was cute, but never had the courage to say anything. Alli and William both ended up staying at JMU for graduate school and Drew began his match making process, albeit from afar. As the semesters went on, Alli and William grew closer and closer until the end of their first spring semester, when William "addressed the elephant in the room". They started officially dating on July 7, 2019 after watching the UWSNT win the World Cup. As time went on, Alli and William fell more and more in love, from trips to the Outer Banks, following any JMU sport possible, or just chatting away at Urgies, they became inseparable. Despite being forced into long distance suddenly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their relationship thrived. While distance had it's challenges, they persisted and knew that they always had each other. In May of 2021, Alli moved up to Falls Church, where they began to build their life together, and on November 6, 2021, William asked Alli to be his forever. They are currently living in Vienna, VA with their new puppy Madison and are looking forward to all that life together has to offer.
