We met at 5900 Wilshire Blvd. on the 25th floor. 'Met' may be a loose term because we kinda just saw each other from afar and really thought nothing of it. We worked at a pretty big PR firm and there was no real reason for any employee to stand out from the next. But, despite being on different teams, we became good friends without any real effort. We kind of just . . .fit together from the very beginning. Soon thereafter, we fell pretty deeply in love but we had some growing up to do. You know what they say, 'location, location, location!' Whoops, I meant, 'timing is everything.' Little did we know, we were in beta. That was about six years ago. Fast forward to March 2018. Michael reached out to me on a whim under the very real pretense of a catch up between old friends. We met at Estate on March 8. I only know the exact date because Michael framed the receipt from the dinner and gave it to me as a Christmas present. He's sentimental like that, and I love him for it. The date-that-was-not-a-date felt very familiar - the laughs came easily, the conversation flowed like rose, there was a very real, very tangible 'there' there. This go 'round we got the timing right. We were engaged under a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex at the Cabazon Dinosaurs on November 21, 2018. Nine months later, we eloped in a private beach ceremony in Santorini, Greece on August 8, 2019. We live in Los Angeles, California with our dog, Melvin.
