Shannon Airport (107 miles / ~2.5 hour drive)
The best option for most US guests. Shannon has direct transatlantic routes from New York (JFK), Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and more. It also has US Customs and Border Protection preclearance (just like Dublin), which means you clear US immigration before you board back to the US so you'll land straight into arrivals like a domestic flight. No long immigration queues! Car rentals are available at the airport. If you're not renting a car, private airport transfers and taxis to Dingle are available (roughly €300 for 3ppl).

Dublin Airport (218 miles / ~4.5 hour drive)
Dublin has the most international connections but is the longest journey to Dingle, so we recommend Shannon if it's an option for you. That said, if Dublin works better for your travel plans, here's how to get to us: • Car rental is the most flexible option and available at the airport. • Train: Irish Rail runs from Dublin Heuston to Tralee (~3 hr 55 min, from ~€25), then Bus Éireann #275 to Dingle (~55 min). Alternatively, get off at Killarney (~3 hr 15 min) and take a taxi from there (~1 hour). Book trains at irishrail.ie — up to 2 months in advance. • Connecting flight to Kerry Airport: Ryanair flies Dublin → Kerry in just 55 minutes from ~€20, with departures typically around 9:20 AM and 4:25 PM. Often faster and cheaper than the train!

Kerry Airport (34 miles / ~1 hour drive)
The closest airport to Dingle, but no direct US routes- you'd need to connect via Dublin or London. If you do come through Kerry, car rentals are available at the airport, and private shuttles and taxis run to Dingle directly. There's also a public bus, though it takes around 2 hours. The Ryanair Dublin-Kerry connection mentioned above is a great option if you're routing through Dublin.
