Friday Afternoon -- By Direct Invitation Only
This is a daytime event with indoor and outdoor gathering areas. It is tradition to wear yellows, oranges, and bright colors! For Women: Sundresses, blouses, skirts, and jeans are all welcome. Indian clothes are welcomed, as well. For Men: Colorful button-down shirts with pants or shorts is perfect! Indian attire is great, too.
Saturday Morning -- Indian Formal
This is a daytime event. There will be indoor and outdoor elements during the baraat (parade), ceremony, and post-ceremony refreshments. For Women: We recommend wearing a lehenga, salwar kameez, or an Indo-Western outfit. These outfits are traditionally worn with flat sandals or slip-on shoes. Please avoid reds, as this is traditionally reserved for the bride. For Men: A kurta (with or without a vest) is a great option. You’re also welcome to wear a sherwani or an Indo-Western ensemble. Typically, men wear leather loafers, sandals or plain sneakers with this outfit. As with the women, please avoid red.
Saturday Evening -- Black-Tie
This is an evening event. Most guests will take a break after the morning ceremony and change from their Indian formal clothes to traditional western wedding attire. For Women: Please wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses. For Men: Tuxedos and dark suits with dark neckties are encouraged. For Everyone: Indian formal attire is also welcomed!
