If you're looking at accommodations outside our recommendations (Navy Point proper or the Holiday Inn downtown), please let us know. Parts of Pensacola can be interesting and some things that look close on a map are actually a heck of a drive in real life. We're happy to give you the inside scoop so you stay somewhere terrific and easy.
Travel Note
Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key are both about 25 minutes. There is more to do at Pensacola Beach but the drive is more annoying from our house. The drive to Perdido Key is easier but the only/main activity there is beach. The right fit is honestly a matter of preference. Rent a car if you stay at either beach.
Rental Car
RENT A CAR, if you want to turn this trip into a vacation, you're flying into VPS, or you decide to stay at the beach. MAYBE DONT, if you just want to go between downtown and Navy Point. Uber and Lyft are available but not always reliable or cost effective depending on your destination. They work well between our neighborhood, downtown, and the airport.
