We love our neighborhood! It includes a 2.5 linear park along Bayou Grande. Walk, run, bike, paddle, or post up at one of our mini beaches along the way. You can't beat the sunsets off South Baublits.
The Blue Angels practice every Tuesday and Wednesday right over our neighborhood. It is ABSOLUTELY as cool as you think it is! If you're in town, come watch practice with us one or both days at Gibbs Point park.
Our favorite neighborhood spot. We both recommend the fish fingers app. Michelle's go-to is the Jezebel salad with blackened chicken or fish, no onions, raspberry vinaigrette, and Ryan swears by the ahi tuna sandwich.
Right up the street from our neighborhood and one of our favorite spots. There's always something going on. Check out the event calendar for music, food trucks, trivia, bingo, and other surprises.
World's largest aviation museum, located on the NAS Pensacola base. Definitely do one of the free guided tours with a retired navy pilot. The stories are incredible! NOTE: you must show your Real ID (American citizens) or passport (foreign nationals) to get on base. No weapons allowed, including pocket knives.
Climb 177 steps up the historic Pensacola Lighthouse for one of the most beautiful views on the Gulf Coast. NOTE: this is on the NAS Pensacola base. You must show your Real ID (American citizens) or passport (foreign nationals) to get on base. No weapons allowed, including pocket knives.
Surprising little museum downtown. Entrance fee includes 7 museums dispersed throughout downtown.
Another surprising jewel in downtown Pensacola. Admission is included in the same 7-day entrance fee as the history museum.
It's been an icon since the 1960s for a reason! If you're this close, you gotta go at least once. Make sure you check out the music calendar and go when someone is playing.
Beautiful and untouched Gulf shoreline and a good addition to the drive when you head out to Florabama. There are bathrooms but no other amenities, so come prepared. NOTE: since this is located on the National Seashore there is an entrance fee (or you can use your national parks pass if you have one.) You should be able to pay one fee for multiple days of National Seashore access. The fee should also include the stretch of National Seashore where Fort Pickens is separately located.
A local state park with hiking trails and a really neat observation tower. Across the channel from Johnson Beach.
Y'all, we have the best sand. The water is stunning but the sand will ruin you for life. Definitely walk the pier and if it's later in the afternoon check out Drift for an awesome happy hour with an unbeatable view.
Cool and creepy old fort on the end of Pensacola Beach. Famously held Geronimo in captivity, who cursed all who come to Pensacola and put their toes in the sand to always be forced to return. Call us crazy but we think the beach is worth the risk! NOTE: since this is located on the National Seashore there is an entrance fee (or you can use your national parks pass if you have one.) You should be able to pay one fee for multiple days of National Seashore access. The fee should also include the stretch of National Seashore where Johnson Beach is separately located.
Our favorite dolphin tour on Pensacola Beach. We haven't been disappointed yet!
Our favorite spot on Pensacola Beach. The best place to get a bushwacker (the national drink of Pensacola) and the burgers are iconic. Great live music too.
Walk the longest pier on the Gulf! If you go, drive out to Pensacola Beach and take the scenic route along the National Seashore. This stretch of National Seashore is free. If open, there's also a sea turtle sanctuary in Navarre.
A living work of art where the graffiti literally changes every day. Bonus points to anyone who gets "Party On, Pickards!" painted on the bridge. Pics or it didn't happen, AI doesn't count.
Low key brewery downtown with a fantastic taco truck in the back.
Another downtown brewery. We watch the Pensacola Mardi Gras parade from here every year. If you're feeling peckish, check out MI SU burger truck (www.misustreetfood.com.) They're just down the alley and their food beepers work in the brewery.
Fantastic food downtown. The pork shank is one of Michelle's favorite meals ever and the cookie jar dessert is fun.
A delicious, delicious institution. Bring a dollar to tack on the wall and be prepared to ask for a doggy bag.
The Wahoos are a Double A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The stadium is right on Pensacola Bay and a stunning location to watch some ball. One of Ryan's favorite things to do. If there's a game in town it's worth checking out!
Named Florida's Best Farmers Market by Southern Living magazine. Check it out Saturday mornings from 9-2.
Honestly, so many parrots. Michelle cried in fear. Ryan took pictures. $10 entry fee.
Open Wed-Sat 12:00-3:30 for self-guided walking tours of the sanctuary's resident raptors and seabirds.
