Piazza del Duomo is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence. It is one of the most visited places in Europe and the world and in Florence, the most visited area of the city.

The Basilica di Santa Maria Novella has been the main Dominican church in Florence since 1221.

The Santa Croce is, as well as being the largest Franciscan church in the world, the real pantheon of Florence. Inside are housed nearly 300 tombs, including those of Michelangelo and Galileo.
