I was incredibly lucky to meet this wonderful lady at Seton Hall, far far away from our homes and families. So I think there is no doubt we were meant to be together :) She has become my best friend and sister and I couldn't imagine doing this without her. She is originally from Berlin, Germany but now lives right outside of New York City with her wonderful husband (and ex-SHU-swimmer). She is caring, quirky, and super duper artsy and fashionable! Marie und ich haben uns vor fast neun Jahren in dem kleinen Ort South Orange an unserer Uni kennengelernt. Ich moechte mir mein Leben ohne Marie gar nicht mehr vorstellen. Sie wohnt mit ihrem Mann, Joey, der mit Matt geschwommen ist, in NJ.

I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a lovely, fun, weird, smart, amazing little sister! We have known each other for almost 23 years now and I am glad I don't have to share you with any other siblings. I can't wait for you to stand by my side when I marry the only one that could ever attempt to take over your spot in my heart. Luisa now lives in Budapest with her adorable doggo Dobbie. She is kicking vet school's ass and has one of the biggest hearts for animals that I have seen. Luisa ist mein aller liebstes Schwesterherz und ich freue mich unendlich diesen Tag zusammen mit ihr zu feiern. Luisa wohnt in Budapest mit ihrer Huendin Dobbie und studiert Tiermedizin. Ich wuesste nicht was ich ohne dich tun sollte! Bin so froh dich zu haben und alles mit dir teilen zu duerfen.

Megan is probably the funniest and most loving person I have ever met, ever. She always makes me smile, pushes me to try new, crazy things, is up for anything and everything, and will definitely always be by my side. I can't wait to officially be your sister (because in my heart you have been mine from Day 1! She lives in St. Louis with her pup (Hank) in an adorable little apartment with a brick wall (...how awesome is that!?). Megan will bring the fun to any party and knows how to make everyone feel like they belong together. Megan ist meine neue kleine Schwester und weiß immer wie sie mich zum Lachen bringen kann. Megan wohnt in St. Louis (4 stunden von uns entfernt) und arbeitet dort fuer eine Kaffee-Firma (wie cool ist dass denn?) Ich freue mich noch eine Schwester zu gewinnen.

Leo and I met over seven years ago on a Model United Nations World Leader's conference in NYC and DC; we were both representatives of Bolivia. I am so thankful that the world brought us together in this crazy, random way, because I have had the pleasure to become best friends with this wonderful, loving lady. She is adorable, creative, and has the voice of an angel. Leonie und ich haben uns vor 11 Jahren in New York/DC auf einer internationalen Konferenz kennengelernt und haben uns seit dem nicht aus den Augen verloren. Ich bin so froh dass ich sie auf diesem verrueckten Wege kennenlernen durfte, und dass uns nichts auseinander halten kann.

Kati has been in my life since forever (we know each others grandparents) and we have shared numerous adventures together! We met in Bratislava, where we both went to middle school and basically spent every minute since then together ... whether playing in the yard for hours on end, discovering castles on hikes, going to horseback riding camps all over, or literally parting the sea and walking to an island in the German North Sea. As time went on, the world physically took us to different places... but our hearts will always remain in one and the same location. Kati habe ich 2004 in Bratislava kennenlernen duerfen. Wir sind dort zusammen in die Schule gegangen und haben sonst auch jede freie Minute zusammen verbracht. Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich dich meine Freundin nennen darf! :*

Chelsey is one of Matt's longest friends and has become one of my best! She accepted me into her big heart from the beginning and survived my first year of law school with me. She is a bundle of joy, crazy (but in a good way), loving, always up for a new adventure and is a very special person in my life. Chelsey ist mit Matt aufgewachsen und hat mich seit dem ersten Tag in ihr Herz genommen. Ihr Laecheln ist das aller groesste und sie hat immer die richtigen Worte um einem ein Laecheln auf die Lippen zu pinseln. Chelsey wohnt jetzt in Austin, TX, und arbeitet dort fuer Soul Cycle. Ich freue mich mit ihr und Matt diesen Tag zu feiern!

Alex and I met our first day of law school and haven't left each others side since then. Not only did we survive three years if law school hell together, we made it one of the best times of our lives. She always has an open ear, will take care of you, spoil you with an amazing meal, and explore the world with you. I am so excited to throw this big party with you! Alex und ich haben uns am ersten Tag unseres Jura-studiums kennengelernt und sind seit dem dicke Freunde. Sie kommt urspruenglich aus Kaliforniern wohnt aber in DC und letzten Sommer haben wir gemeinsam Italien erforscht! Wir kochen sehr gerne zusammen und haben zusammen DC entdeck! Wenn es mir mal nicht so gut geht ist sie immer fuer mich da. Was fuer ein Glueck dass wir uns getroffen haben!

Jon is, has been, and always will be my best man. He has been my 'partner in crime' and best friend for my entire life. Together, we learn, love and laugh; that will never change. I have such few words about Jon, simply because, words cannot describe the connection and friendship we have with him. He is my better half. Jon currently lives in Kansas City, working as an investment banker.

Jason...look at that guy. Do I even need to say anything about that gorgeous GQ face!? I mean...hot-damn! ;) Jas is my old brother, teacher, mentor, and role-model. Jason has blazed a path of his own throughout his life. All I have ever done is look up to him, try to follow in his footsteps, and be as good a person as him. Jason currently lives in Kansas City, working as an investment banker.

Joey and I had a relatively peculiar introduction. Despite it though became very close friends at Seton Hall. Whether it was trying to keep clean our level of the swim house, attempting to understand Pia and Marie talking being our backs in German, or staying afloat at swim practice, this guy was always right by my side. Joey currently lives in New York, working as a web designer and developer.

A baby born with the beard of Zeus, Ryan ... is a man-child. ;p I first met Ryan when I visited Seton Hall. Over that weekend visit, and the rest of my college career, Ryan simultaneously egged me on and kept me out of trouble. Somehow he is always the life of the party, and the father-figure telling everyone to get inline. Ryan is an anomaly, and I absolutely love that about him. Also, to this day though, I honestly could not tell you where he is from, or how the hell he knows everyone, everywhere!

Ford is the fire burning beneath everyones feet. My best friend since the beginning of high school, this guy brings a sense of energy, joy, and freedom to everyone he meets. In that way, he is the certainly 'Yin to my Yang'; in every sense of that phrase. I couldn't be more thankful for having met such a loving, energetic person.

I certainly do not remember the first time I met this guy! All I know is what I have been told by our parents: we were in strollers. :p Since then, I've had the big-brother-friend any guy could ask for. Steve has been there for me through thick and thin since I was a toddler. Whether it was picking Jon and me up at 4:30am for swim practice, helping me through classes at Rockhurst, or somehow keeping me and Jack out of trouble, Steve was always there. There are few people out there with as much love and card as this guy.

From the first day at Seton Hall together, I felt like I had met an old friend. There are few people in the world hat you meet, and right away know that they will 'have your back'. Jon is one of those people. At Seton Hall Jon was always a friend I could go to if I needed something. He will always be the life of a party. Sometimes, he just needs a little Beam.

If I remember correctly, Jack and I met during a swim practice, doing dry-land training. I certainly don't remember what we talked about, or the introduction itself. But that doesn't matter. What matters is after that day, I knew this guy would be a great friend. I cannot thank this guy enough for the adventures, fun-times, and mischief we got into. For anyone who knows Jack, they know this guy knows how to enjoy life!

Tom is about as New Jersey as one can get. And I absolutely love him for it. Tom is a guy, that no matter who he is talking to, he could somehow make a connection, and talk for hours (good luck to him doing that in German during our wedding ... hehe). Tom is one of the smartest, kindest, and best guy's I have ever met, and I am honored to have him with me at my wedding. He has been such a good friend to both me and Pia.
