Rental Car
You do not need to rent a car to get into and around the city. All places in Chicago are easily accessible with public transportation or by Uber/Lyft/cab. Public transport options include intra-city trains and buses. Uber, Lyft and cabs operate throughout the city. Chicago is bike and scooter friendly - you can rent a bike at a Divvy bike stand (our bike sharing system).
Travel Note
Early May in Chicago is typically sunny with occasional rain. Temperatures can range from upper 40s fahrenheit during the morning/evening (around 9 celsius) to upper 60s fahrenheit during the day (around 20 celsius). Chicago's nickname is the "Windy City" so expect some wind! We recommend packing a light rainproof jacket and layers.
