Our wedding service will be held on March 11th, 2025, at the Naman Retreat. We will be staying at the resort for the same week. A number of activities are available at the resort, including yoga, hiking, biking, and much more are scheduled throughout the week.
Da Nang is world renowned for its pristine beaches. Beach access is free to the public, and the beaches run for miles. Naman Retreat lies in between Da Nang and Hoi An, and the beach runs continuously between these two cities.
Less than 30 minutes from Naman Retreat, Hoi An is one of the few places in Vietnam which was largely untouched by the war. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, it is most beautiful at night when the city is lit up with traditional lanterns. During the day, the city is well-known for its textile industry, where you can find tailors for western suits and dresses as well as traditional Vietnamese clothing for you to take home with you.
Ba Na Hills is a bit difficult to explain, except as a surreal, massive place full of picturesque views, castles (yes), food, rides, and temples, in the middle of mountainous jungles. If you're interested in going, you'll need to purchase tickets in advance. Expect to spend several hours here at least and be sure to bring an umbrella.
This temple is visible along the beaches of Da Nang, featuring a large statue of the lady buddha. Nestled in the Marble Mountains overlooking the city, the temple complex is filled with bonsai trees and beautiful views of the city. Expect to spend an hour exploring the site.
The Imperial City of Hue is a huge complex which served as the capitol of the Nguyen Dynasty. Surrounded by moat on all sides, the emperor's palace lies in the center, with gardens and plaques denoting its history. The province of Hue is a little farther away from Da Nang. We recommend making a day trip here. Make sure to bring a hat!
Vietnam is a large country. While we'll be spending most of our time in central Vietnam, other places worth visiting in Vietnam include Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Ha Noi's Old Quarters, and Ho Chi Minh city (where the streets are a sea of motorbikes). Thailand, Korea, and Japan are all less than a five-hour flight from Vietnam.
