Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Phoebe Doyle and Elliot McCrary
Bida Saigon

Bida Saigon

8078 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919

Bida Saigon is where we went for our first date, and we still LOVE going to all these years later. We argue that this place has the best pho in Knoxville. Our order is usually the chicken and shrimp pho for Phoebe, and the brisket and tendon pho for Elliot with an order of the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce to share.

University of Tennessee

University of Tennessee

Knoxville, TN 37996

Our Alma Mater. The University of Tennessee is a short walk from downtown, and a great campus to walk around. Take in the sights of Neyland Stadium and walk through the Haslam College of Business and Tickle College of Engineering where Phoebe and Elliot spent a lot of time while at UT.

Potchke

Potchke

318 North Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37917

We LOVE this place, everything is so fantastically delicious, we take everyone that visits here! An amazing Jewish deli and kosher restaurant in downtown Knoxville that began as a pop-up and got so many rave reviews it has now been featured in The New York Times and USA Today. Located in a former coffee shop in what's now an office building, Potchke maintains an atmosphere inspired by the nostalgia of Jewish retirees who made their way to Miami in the ‘60s and ‘70s. That means lots of vibrant colors to reflect South Beach style.

Suttree's High Gravity Tavern

Suttree's High Gravity Tavern

409 South Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902

Sutree's is our favorite place downtown to meet up with friends. They have 32 high-gravity beers on tap, arcade games, pinball machines, a really fun photo booth that has seen us many times over the years, and probably the most delicious ramen you'll find in a bar...

Ijams Nature Center

Ijams Nature Center

2915 Island Home Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920

Ijams is a nature reserve just across the river from downtown. We love going here to explore the hiking trails, swim in the quarry, and go on bike rides.

Merchants of Beer

Merchants of Beer

137 South Central Street, Knoxville, TN 37902

Merchants of Beer is a craft beer bar in an old 50s diner, with a great patio. This place has 50 beers on tap, and make surprisingly great margaritas. One of our favorite spots to hang on a warm fall day.

Sequoyah Hills Park

Sequoyah Hills Park

1400 Cherokee Boulevard, Knoxville, TN 37919

Sequoyah Hills Park is a beautiful river-side park nestled in one of the most stunning neighborhoods in Knoxville. We like to take walks and picnic here, taking in the interesting architecture of the homes in the neighborhood.

Brother Wolf

Brother Wolf

108 West Jackson Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37902

We love this place for their great cocktails and really fun decor. The whole places changes into "Brother Werewolf" around Halloween and "Miracle" around Christmastime. Best espresso martini in town!
