Chinhoyi is the town that Phin grew up in. One of the attractions is The Chinhoyi Caves. The traditional name for the Caves is “Chirorodziva” which means the “Pool of the Fallen”. The name was derived from an incident which took place in the 1830s when the Angoni Tribe, who were moving northwards surprised people living near the Caves and flung them into the pool. The caves are worth the visit. You can visit the viewpoint or go inside to see the underground lake. Slippery and dark, so have the right shoes. A torch can also help.
Chinhoyi is only 3hrs away from Kariba. You can stay over in Chinhoyi after the wedding and make your way to the world's largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume.
Mutorashanga is a small ferrochrome mining town in Mashonaland West province in Zimbabwe. Situated on Zimbabwe's Great Dyke mountain range, about 100 kilometers north of the capital, Harare. It's a mysterious yet lovely green-hued pool that is perfect for cliff diving. The name derives from the Shona language spoken by 80 percent of Zimbabweans. Mutora - you take or carry, shanga - maize (corn) stalks. Residents say the name was incorrectly written by white administrators and that shanga should be shangu, or shoes, a reference to the stony ground that characterizes the area.
You'll have to book your flights and accommodation as part of your trip. This is a must see tourist attraction as it is one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
