A wonderful resource guide full of area Maine attractions provided by our venue.
Enjoy the cute coastal town of Belfast neighboring Stockton Springs! Visitors can explore Belfast's eclectic collections in artist studios and galleries, stroll the historic downtown district and harborwalk, try local produce at the farmers markets, or grab a lobster roll. We recommend Nautilus Seafood & Grill or Young's Lobster Pound & Seafood Restaurant!
Just down the road from French's Point, this park has a long stretch of sandy beach with two miles of trails through fields, woodlands, and marsh.
Portland is Maine's largest city and known for its picturesque coastal views, historic charm, and vibrant food scene. With over 70 breweries, Portland is a beer lover’s paradise. We have tons of recommendations, but here are some favorites: - Eventide Oyster Co. - Duckfat - Fore Street Restaurant - Holy Donut - Scales - Tandem Coffee & Bakery - Novare Res Bier Cafe - Allagash Brewing Company Check out Maine's oldest lighthouse, The Portland Head Light, and take a 15 minute ferry ride to Peaks Island!
Bar Harbor, a picturesque town located on Mount Desert Island along the coast, is a one-hour drive from Stockton Springs. The downtown is quant and charming with many shops, restaurants, and historic architecture. We've stayed at Atlantean Cottage B&B and absolutely loved it! Best of all, Bar Harbor serves as a gateway to Acadia National Park, one of the most visited national parks in the U.S.
Acadia National Park offers a wide range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, bird watching, and wildlife viewing. Cadillac Mountain, located within the park, is the highest peak on the East Coast and provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. We suggest renting bikes and bringing plenty of water, unlike Phil, who drank his within the first 30 minutes and Emma had to ration hers. She has almost forgiven him.
