Sintra
Sintra is the region know for their numerous beautiful castles that can be easily reached from Lisbon. You can Uber/bus/train over and buy tickets to the castles you’d like to see. There is a bus route that can take you around to most of the castles once in Sintra. The Moorish Castle and the gardens of the Monserrate Palace are definitely must sees!
The Algarve
The Algarve is the southern most coast of Portugal. The water will still be a little cold, but this is best beach vacation spot in Portugal! The towns of Faro or Lagos are beachy towns with great food. This region is known to have some of the best beaches in Europe. We would highly recommend a kayaking or boat trip that will take you along the shore line, in and out of the grottos. These beach towns are also very easy to reach by train from Lisbon.
