Both SFO and OAK are a short drive into San Francisco. We recommend SFO for the most seamless experience but Oakland is a great option for Southwest.

The weather can be temperate so keep an eye on the forecast before flying but expect high 60s to low 70s and a bit more chilly a night. We always recommend layers.
San Francisco is 7 miles x 7 miles, making it easy to take a short uber anywhere you want to go. Maybe even grab a ride in one of our city's driverless taxis? Of course our street cars and cable cars are a must visit attraction in their own right.

It's true, Outside Lands will be going on throughout the weekend on the west side of town. It shouldn't cause many disruptions around the rest of the city, but we'd recommend avoiding the Sunset and Richmond neighborhoods.
