Where is the wedding?

Answer

Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, in Nathrop, CO. This is about 2h southwest of Denver, 3h if driving from Denver Airport. Ceremony will be outside on a grassy lawn, reception inside.

Why is the wedding so far away?

Answer

Because they say plan the wedding for you and not your guests. Sorry guests. This place is an absolute dream and if you cannot make it due to time/distance/potentially multimodal transportation required to get here, we totally understand. However, if you are able to make the trek - we are excited to see you!

Are we going to be in the middle of nowhere?

Answer

No! The Resort itself has a restaurant and a small store. Also, Buena Vista (pronounced "byoo-nuh viss-tuh" no not kidding) is only a 10 minute drive from the Resort and has full size grocery store, breweries, and a ton of charming shops.

What if I get altitude sick?

Answer

Most people won't get altitude sickness since we are not going high high up. However, if you know you are prone to it/have had it in the past - you could stay a night in Denver before coming up to the Nathrop. Symptoms can be headache, nausea, fatigue; it likely will be mild and resolve in a day or two. EVERYONE should hydrate hydrate hydrate!

What do I wear?

Answer

Wear something FUN, something with COLOR or PATTERN or TEXTURE Something where you say I don't like it - I LOVE it. Remember ceremony is outside on A GRASSY LAWN. Mountaintime May can be 60s during day and down to 30-40s at night.

What should I know about being at elevation?

Answer

WEAR SUNSCREEN YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO THE SUN. EVERY TWO HOURS. Hats! Sunnies! Be careful drinking! Alcohol can affect you more at higher altitudes especially when compounded with existing dehydration/altitude sickness.
