Philip and Lindsay met freshman year at Wheaton College. Over the next two years, they became good friends. It wasn't until one Saturday morning at Blackberry Market during their junior year of college that Philip began to take interest in Lindsay. They started spending more time together and Lindsay began to realize how much she enjoyed being around Philip. A few weeks later, Philip got up the courage to ask Lindsay out. They went on their first date on November 2, 2018 and the rest is history!

On November 13, 2021, Philip picked up Lindsay to take her on a date. They drove to the airport where Philip had scheduled a private skyline tour over Chicago for the two of them. After the flight, Philip told Lindsay that he forgot something at home (which did not surprise Lindsay because Philip can be forgetful). When they walked into Philip's apartment, Lindsay saw rose petals, candles and photos of them all over the apartment. Philip proposed and she said YES! Their family and close friends flew in for the engagement and those that could not attend in person joined the party virtually. They both agree it was one of the best weekends of their lives!
