What businesses are open on the west side after the disaster?

Answer

As of September 3rd, here is a list of the West Side businesses that have reopened to support locals. Please note this could change and more business could be open come the week of the wedding. Many have asked where to get gift cards to support West Side businesses, so hope this list helps. What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:30 pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes - Tropical Cocktail Attire. For the guys, think Aloha or dress shirts with slacks/shorts with boat shoes or sandals. For the ladies, tropical/bright flowy maxi or midi dresses with flats or wedges. The weather will be on the warmer side so lighter fabrics will be the most comfortable.

What will the weather be like the day of your wedding?

Answer

The weather in September is typically in the mid to low 80's with a refreshing breeze and a small chance of pineapple showers. Weather here is constantly changing from one minute to the next. We will just be going with the flow of Mother Nature.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, but we do have very limited parking spaces available. We highly recommend carpooling or Uber/Lyft services to and from the venue.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We have two fun and relaxing beach days. All Family and friends are all welcome to join us for our "Fun in the Sun" - Family & Friends Meet and Greet on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Airport Beach. We are also having a "Post Wedding Beach Bash" on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Flemming's Beach for those who want to squeeze in a little extra time with the Bride and Groom. Both events are optional. Details are under the "Schedule" tab.

Is there a Costco near where we are staying?

Answer

No, unfortunately not one right near by. However, the Costco, Target and Walmart are all 5 minutes away from the airport. So we highly recommend stoping to those places if you need to after you first land. The airport is about 45-55 minutes away from Lahaina (West side of the island).

What grocery stores are nearby?

Answer

On the west side of island, we have Times Market and Napili Market for grocery stores. But if you are looking to buy in bulk and maybe for better pricing, we recommend hitting up Costco after you land. Sometimes the local grocery stores can be pricy and be out of stock on certain items (especially dairy products like eggs, creamer and milk - Costco maybe best for these items). However these prices at the grocery stores are less expensive than going out to eat for every meal.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We highly recommend booking an AirBnB or VRBO property here in the northern Lahaina area as they provide a much better value and more options than most of the overpriced hotels. Honokowai and Kahana near us has lots of great options.
