We chose Phoenix as our wedding location because so many airlines have direct flights into Sky Harbor! It's much cheaper to fly in to than Tucson. We know that the majority of our guests will be coming in from out of the state, so we wanted to make it as convenient as we possibly could.
We'll be reserving a block of rooms at a hotel close to our venue. If you choose to stay elsewhere, you can take an Uber, pedicab, or taxi and split it! Parking at the venue is street parking only, so we'd prefer if you chose another way to get to our wedding. Especially if you'll be drinking. Hotels and Air BnB’s fill up pretty quick, so if our block of rooms is full, we suggest grabbing a place to stay as soon as you can.
Cocktail attire, please! Arizona in October is still pretty warm, so dress for the desert!
Does a bear poop in the woods?
We'd love to celebrate with everyone, but we ask that you only bring the people to whom the invitation is addressed. (But please send us pictures of your dog.)
There are so many fun things to do in Phoenix! Restaurants, shopping, and hiking are all super close. If you're staying longer, Flagstaff, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon are about three hours north, and Tucson is an hour and a half south. There are plenty of neat things to do out here in the desert.
YES! Look, don't touch.
We’re paying lovely artists to use their skills to take pictures of our wedding, so we’re gonna ask that you keep your cellphones in your pockets and turn them off. Also, we know you’re not gonna watch a video of us getting married after the fact. We love you, but we’re just being honest. We’ll be sure to share pictures of the big day on our website after we get them! As far as the reception goes- snap away! Make sure you use our hashtag: #ThePotRanAwayWitherspoon
