Flights to Faro airport

Vilamoura is about 20 minutes from Faro airport. Jet2, Easyjet and Ryanair do quite low cost flights from Manchester and Liverpool airport which usually come out around 12 months before. I will put a post on if I see any good deals! Vilamoura Old Village

Our wedding venue is Casa do Largo, a church square and venue based in Vilamoura Old Village. The village has studios, apartments and villas for rental. I have attached links to companies that rent out properties below. You can also find Old Village apartments and villas on Travel Republic. The Old Village is a 15 minute walk from Vilamoura harbour, there is also a train which takes you down or a taxi is around 3 euros. The village has 3 pools with pool bars, a supermarket, 3 restaurants, 2 cafes, a bakery and a children's play area. It is also next door to several golf courses. The whole village is pedestrianised and there is 24 hour security. There is ample parking if you decide to hire a car. Another website that is great for studios or 1/2/3/4/5 bedroom apartments and townhouses in the old village is www.village4ulettings.com - it's about £650 a week for an apartment :). The price list for these is also on the Photos section. www.liveinholidays.co.uk also have a selection of Old Village apartments. There are also lots of hotels/apartments nearby in the Vilamoura area. The Vilamoura harbour and the centre of Vilamoura are about a 20 minute walk away or a 5 minute taxi drive from the Old Village and the wedding venue so please feel free to stay wherever suits you in Vilamoura :). www.booking.com and www.travelrepublic.com are great for finding accommodation!

Transfers from Faro airport to Vilamoura

Vilamoura is around a 20 minute drive from Faro airport. Transfers can be private taxis or shared coaches - the holiday extras website is usually reasonably priced :).

Rental Car

Yorcar.com

We usually use Yorcar to hire a car when we visit Portugal. They have an office at Faro airport where you pay on arrival are really reasonably priced.
