Our story began at the start of 2020, when a fateful swipe on Hinge led to drinks, laughter, and three dates in one week. It was clear something special had begun. We quickly bonded over our shared love of travel and adventure. We also discovered that although we had both attended the University of Oregon at the same time, our paths had somehow never crossed in Eugene. By February 2020, we made it official, and just a few weeks later, the world changed with COVID-19. In the midst of lockdowns and uncertainty, we found comfort and joy in each other’s company. With extra time at home we adopted our sweet dog, Mochi, and spent countless weekends camping and exploring the Pacific Northwest. When we moved in together Alyssa’s cat, Diego, joined the family. Just like that, we became a stereotypical millennial household of four. As the world reopened, life moved forward in wonderful ways. Alyssa pursued her Master’s in Public Administration at Portland State, while Philip began a new career in vanbuilding. Together, we continued to grow, dream, and plan for our future. Then on May 31, 2025, while overlooking the breathtaking North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Philip asked Alyssa to marry him! Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story surrounded by our favorite people
