After an amazing first dinner date in the summer of 2021, Cassie was excited to see what the future held with this handsome, hilarious guy that mumbled so much of their first date that she was unsure of half what he said. Then she received a job offer in Toronto, with a start date 6 months from then. After an awkward text from Cassie asking Phil how he thought about long distance, they decided to go on both a second date and to do long distance when the time came. With 2 years of long distance and border crossings, their love continued to grow. They explored Toronto and the surrounding area, met in upstate New York, or spent time at home in Pittsburgh. Once moving back home, they continued to travel the world, go on runs, enjoy date nights taking in Pittsburgh sports, spending time with their pets, and build their life together. In September 2024, while spending the day hiking, exploring castles, and enjoying German beer, Phil asked Cassie to be his forever travel buddy. Phil and Cassie are ready for a lifetime of adventures, laughing together, and spending time with the people that we love.
