Question

So, where IS this wedding taking place?!

Answer

Aaron's family is lucky enough to have a few cabins on beautiful land in Irons. One of the cabins is named "North Haven" after their hometown of South Haven a couple hours south of Irons. The ceremony and reception will take place outside of North Haven cabin. The land is all on Manistee National Forest. The name Manistee comes from a Native American word meaning, "the whispering through the pines". We are thrilled to have our dearest friends and family celebrate at this magical place with us. We will be happy to help you find and/or reserve accommodations for any of the weekend.

Question

What airport should I/we fly into?

Answer

Grand Rapids, MI (GRR) is around 2 hours from Irons, MI. Traverse City (TVC) is about an hour from Irons, MI. These will likely be your best bet.

You can also feel free to drive from your lodging to the wedding; we will have parking available!

Question

What else is there to do/explore around the area?

Answer

Great question! We hope you'll explore the beautiful area that surrounds Irons. Check out the Things to Do page for more ideas. Some nearby spots: A bit farther: Traverse City! Just an hour or so farther north, Traverse City is situated on the shores of picturesque East Grand Traverse Bay and West Grand Traverse Bay, which both flow into Lake Michigan. Traverse City serves up the best of two worlds: it offers the mesmerizing outdoor recreational opportunities as well as tremendous cultural and social opportunities often only found in much larger cities. Traverse City is truly a micropolis – offering residents and visitors the small Midwestern town charm along with cosmopolitan options. We love wine tasting, the orchards, and Mission Point lighthouse.
