We're getting married!

It all started long before either of us imagined we would end up here. Maria first met Scott back when she was in middle school and he was in high school. She became close friends with his sisters, spending time at their house, never realizing that something special was quietly forming in the background. Years later, after life had taken us in different directions, the world slowed down during the COVID shutdown. Out of the blue, Scott reached out to Maria, reminding her of an old joke—that we were long overdue for that Chick-fil-A date we had once talked about. We finally made plans to go on May 27, 2020, and that simple lunch turned into something much more. What began as a lighthearted catch-up over chicken nuggets and waffle fries quickly grew into something real. Just a few weeks later on July 3, we spent the evening at Scott's grandparents' farm watching a movie on a projector and looking up at the stars. On the drive back into town, Scott asked Maria to be his girlfriend. From that point on, our days filled with countless Chick-fil-A dates, mountain getaways, and competitive rounds of mini golf. Fast forward to March 27, 2024 during a family cruise with Scott’s family. We spent the day in San Juan, Puerto Rico exploring historic forts, learning about the city’s past, and taking in the incredible ocean views. As we headed toward the water to take one last picture before heading back to the ship, Scott surprised Maria by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Every adventure, big or small, has brought us closer together and made our love even stronger. Now we cannot wait to spend a lifetime creating more memories, sharing more adventures, and of course, enjoying many more Chick-fil-A dates side by side.
