We're Getting Married!

Peyton and Jude first met each other at a Halloween party organized by their mutual friends at the University of Miami during their junior year. Although they spent some time together with their group, they didn’t realize their connection at that time. However, fate had something else in store for them. The following semester, Jude went to Paris to study abroad, and the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. As a result, both Peyton and Jude had to return home, and that’s when the sparks started to fly. During quarantine, they reconnected and discovered their genuine connection. Despite the distance, Jude was able to charm Peyton, and they decided to continue their relationship. After the quarantine, they returned to college for their final year, and their love for each other continued to grow. On October 27th, 2020, Jude asked Peyton to be his girlfriend with flowers and a handwritten letter, which she still keeps as a cherished memento. Peyton said yes, and the rest is history!

The day Jude asked Peyton to marry him was everything the couple could have imagined. This unforgettable day took place in Coral Gables, Florida on May 13th, 2023, after the celebration of Peyton earning her master’s degree. On this day, Jude took Peyton to 'La Mar' in Brickell Key at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for what she thought was a celebratory brunch date. They enjoyed a meal, and cocktails, and took in the ocean views while they reminisced about their journey and their relationship. Jude then took Peyton to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, just minutes from where they first met. During their walk, Peyton mentioned, “People have weddings and get engaged here all the time!” Little did she know that she was about to be one of those people. Jude and Peyton strolled hand in hand through the gardens and eventually stopped in front of a grand fountain. At this moment, Jude grabbed both of Peyton’s hands and proposed to her. She abruptly asked, “What are you doing?” out of nervousness and excitement. Jude spoke passionately about their love, the meaning of their relationship, and their future together. Finally, he got down on one knee and popped the question, “Peyton, will you marry me?” With tears in her eyes, she said yes!!! Peyton and Jude spent the rest of the evening celebrating their engagement with close friends and family. It was a blessing and a dream come true for both of them!
