Angela Stork

Maid of Honor

Angela, originally from Michigan and new to St. Pete, met Lindsay when the Rays drafted Lindsay to come home from DC for her dream marketing job. Lins moved into a cool duplex next door to Angela on the edge of Old Northeast. Lindsay, now returning to St. Pete after several years away, and both of them in the creative marketing space, they became fast friends, as did their cats who purred through their neighboring screened windows. Angela currently works with another bridesmaid, Kara Earle, as a Graphic Designer for FairWarning and lives in St. Pete, still not far from Lindsay.

Krista Field

Matron of Honor

Lindsay and Krista met soon after the Pettys moved to Florida in the summer of 2000 when Lins' Mom was recruited from CT to be publisher of the then "St. Petersburg Times." Older sisters of same-aged younger brothers (4+ years apart), Krista and Lindsay became fast friends. Swim parties, pizza & sleepovers, bike rides and more swim parties pretty much defined their friendship. Despite different high schools, different states for college and years after, Krista and Lindsay have stayed close friends over the years. Lindsay also was a bridesmaid in Krista's wedding, now 10 years ago. Krista and her husband Owen have two wonderful children, Grayson and Lexi and live on the other coast of Florida. Mark and Marty are very close friends of Krista's parents, John and Barb Guarino.

Kara Earle

Bridesmaid

Kara was one of Lindsay's first friends at Shorecrest Prep upon the Pettys' move to Florida in August 2000. They shared many activities together (8th grade to graduation) in high school from student government to cheerleading. While they both left the state for college, they remained in constant touch. Years later, both returned to St. Pete and ended up in the same neighborhood when Lindsay unknowingly purchased her house just a few blocks away from Kara! Kara works alongside Angela Stork as a Product Manager for FairWarning. We're thrilled to celebrate Kara's recent engagement to Brian Daley.

Ashley McFetridge

Bridesmaid

Ashley and Lindsay met in kindergarten in N. Canton, Connecticut. They grew up together in their early years playing soccer and field hockey before the Pettys moved to Florida in 2000. More than a decade later, while Lindsay was living in Washington, DC, Ashley reached out when she had moved to St. Pete to work for Raymond-James. Surprisingly, Lindsay moved back to St. Pete just a few months later and they reconnected as though no time had passed at all! Today, Ashley is living back in Connecticut close to family and remains a Senior Event Manager for Raymond James Financial.

Fred Smith

Best Man

Fred and Jake met working together in the restaurant industry many years ago. Fred and Jake hit it off and became best of friends. They both share a love for golf, boating, and basically anything outdoors. Fred and his wife, Jill, live in Clearwater with their two kids, Jackson and Ella.

David Stinson

Groomsman

David and Jake met their freshman year of high school and became great friends hanging out together every day after school. While they were in different cities for college, they ended up working together after college. Today, they work together at Security Compliance Associates, SCA. David and his wife, Stephany, live in Clearwater with their dog, Louie.

Ryan Smith

Groomsman

Ryan and Jake go so far back they don't remember meeting. They grew up in Clearwater, just a few houses apart from one another and played little league together. They've been great friends to one another through the years and we are thrilled to congratulate Ryan on his recent engagement to Christina!

Brad Schultz

Groomsman

Brad and Jake met in the restaurant industry before Jake went back to school for cybersecurity. They met on the job, when Brad was supposed to train Jake, but Brad was out sick for a week. When he returned, the two instantly became friends.

Mark Petty

Father of the Bride

Lindsay's father Mark was born in Tulsa Oklahoma and is a documentary and commercial photographer whose works are currently in 5 museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. His love for photojournalism has defined his life since high school, even though he practiced zoning and land use law for several years in Hartford, CT when the children were young. Mark, Lindsay and her brother Skip are registered members of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma due to the fact that his great-great grandmother walked the Trails of Tears in the mid 1830s from Georgie to Oklahoma.

Marty Petty

Mother of the Bride

Journalism and newspaper publishing have pretty much defined Marty's 40-year career in business. She was one of few women in her field at the time, beginning as an editor and then as a business executive and eventually a CEO and publisher. Over time, Lindsay and Skip thought nothing of the phone (land line) ringing at 3am when Marty was being told a delivery agent was in a serious accident or a press was down or whatever problem was emerging. The kids grew up comfortable in a press room, loving the roar as the presses started up and the floor shaking like a train leaving the station. After leading 3 media companies through major disruption and change, she has her own business coaching CEOs through their own challenges.

Mother of the Groom

Dr. Carrie Ryan

Officiant

Dr. Carrie and Lindsay met their first year at University of Richmond, living across the hall from one another. Each had roommate challenges and, as their first year ended, they decided to become roommates and proceeded to share a 12x12 bedroom for their remaining three years. Both ended up in DC and made a cool Capitol Hill townhouse home with their friend Sarah, each with their own rooms! Carrie went on to medical school at USF, becoming Lindsay's across-the-bay neighbor for a few more years before accepting her residency in Buffalo, NY. A week before she moved north, she together with Angela, was the first of Lindsay's friends to meet Jake. She has secured a prestigious fellowship back in the DC area this summer. We are honored to have her officiate our special day!
