We met in the fall of 2021 at New Mexico State University in a sales class. A few glances were exchanged, but we never spoke. Then came spring 2022 and another class together—sports marketing. Still, not a single word. Eventually, we matched on Tinder—because of course we did. A very on-brand Gen Z move. Our first date was at Bosque Brewing Co., a local favorite. From that night on, we never stopped talking. A few months later, on May 20, 2022, Brandon officially asked me to be his girlfriend during my little brother Nick’s graduation party. That summer, I convinced Brandon to get a dog, and we brought home Dottie, our chaotic little wiener dog. She’s survived parvo, coccidia, a concussion, and even managed to swallow 60 thyroid pills (don’t ask). She keeps life interesting. Then there’s Dixie, our quiet, gentle Yorkie, who brings balance to the madness. We love them both. In December 2022, we both graduated from NMSU with business degrees. Brandon moved back to Albuquerque to start his career with Enterprise, while I stayed in Las Cruces to work with Aggie Athletics. A year later, Brandon made a bold move and enrolled in flight school in Arlington, Texas. By September 2024, I made the move to Texas to join him—with Dottie and Dixie in tow. In November, Brandon graduated from flight school, and a few months later, on February 21, 2025, he proposed at NorthPark in Dallas. Texas has become our home, and we’re excited to build strong roots here. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with everyone we love.
