Traveling to Durantie

1. Flying into Paris Your journey will begin with an international flight into Paris. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is the most common point of arrival for international flights from the US. 2. Connecting to Bordeaux & Limoges Taking the Train To Bordeaux: 2 hrs from Paris (requires 2nd train to Thiviers) To Limoges-Benedictins: 3 hrs from Paris (45 min drive to Durantie) You can book your TGV tickets online via the SNCF website or the OMIO app (very easy!) Note: It's essential to book your train tickets well in advance as it often isn't possible to pick up tickets from the station on the day of travel. Taking a Flight Several airlines offer connecting flights from Paris to these cities: To Bordeaux: Air France, EasyJet, and Ryanair. To Limoges: Ryanair. Flight times are typically 1 hour (need to account for additional time for airport transfers and security checks). Exploring Bordeaux Before the Wedding If you have some time before the wedding and are looking to explore, we highly recommend spending a few days in Bordeaux. Known as "Le Petit Paris". It’s a fabulous place to spend a couple of days soaking in the French ambiance. To help cut travel time, Amanda & Matt will be arriving in Bordeaux on Sat. 7/5 from Paris and leaving Mon. 7/7. There is a train from Paris to Bordeaux (2 hrs) & a train from Bordeaux to Thiviers (2 hrs). From Thiviers you will need a taxi to the venue (20 min drive) From all towns the easiest way to reach Château la Durantie is by hire car or a pre-organized coach. Note; Ubers are NOT readily available!

Chateau La Durantie

The Chateau, the "sister Chateau" & the local hotel/B&B are where all guests will be staying. You will have pre-assigned rooms and the fixed rate is €250 per guest (approximately $270 US, this includes fees). This cost covers your stay for all three nights. All guests have their rooms already booked! You do NOT have to book it yourself. We have done that for you. *Please Note* As the chateau is not a hotel, they require us to pay all together in one payment. As we understand this is difficult, you will receive a payment request once all RSVPs are collected. This will save you from having to pay bank wire fees and having to worry about international conversion fees.

Other Options

If you do not wish to stay "on campus" with us, we ask that you please let us know. There are hotels in the area that you may choose from, however as we are providing space for all our guests, we will not be providing transport to the chateau from other outside locations.
