Hunter and I actually met when we were 11 and 12. We hung out the whole summer, giving eachother the official titles of “first boyfriend and girlfriend” Unfortunately our young love was cut short because we went to different schools and never really crossed paths much again... Fast forward 15 years later, we reconnected when I was back home for a long weekend. We ended up seeing each other 6 times that week, and the rest is history!

The best day of our life so far!!! Hunter planned a trip with our friend’s Elizabeth and Erik. We had planned to go to Savannah, but last minute Elizabeth stated that she had changed her mind and wanted to check out Greenville, SC... Little did I know, this was the plan the whole time. We got to Greenville Saturday morning and went hiking and stayed out all night exploring downtown. The next morning, we had planned to take photos on an overlook of the mountains, but they had something else up their sleeves... I caught on about 30 minutes into the drive, that we were not going to the overlook. Once I saw the Pretty Place Chapel sign, I just started bawling. I figured out what was going on but didn’t say anything to Hunter. I couldn't ruin the surprise after all. The drive up the mountain was a little over an hour and felt like the longest drive ever!!! When we finally got to the chapel, we met up with our friends. I really wanted to sit on the pew and just take everything in, but Hunter was so anxious he wouldn’t let us sit. We went up to the cross, and he told me to look over my shoulder... I turned around to see Hunter on his knee. Cue the tears! It was the perfect engagement. Hunter nailed it.
